Wow! What a difference a year makes. This time last year I started a new journey as a Creator with the introduction of Affirm U. Almost one year to the date I’m back to announce a shift. For me, life has been a journey. It’s a journey that I have to make a daily decision to embrace. I am sure that you can relate. The journey to becoming is often overlooked. I will be the first to say that the process isn’t always fun but if we embrace it, we will emerge better everyday.
When I started Affirm U in September of 2020, I set out with a goal of cultivating a community with other like-minded Women. I didn’t want to be the face because I felt more comfortable behind the scenes. In doing so, I found that leaving myself out of the equation was not sustainable. The burnout was real and I learned that I wasn’t as good at multitasking as I thought I was. It became very clear that I needed to put myself in a position to create a space where I could make real connections. I realized that I would not be able to make these connections without making a few adjustments. And if we are honest, we have to admit that this is what life is all about. So as I began to pray on what my next steps should be, I realized that I needed to face the fear of starting over and well...start over!
And here we are at the starting point or a refresh, if you will! I am excited, hopeful, and a little nervous but I’m proud to introduce you to Daily Becoming! Daily Becoming is personal to me and it is for Women just like me who are on the journey to become who God created them to be. The message will remain the same but I’m switching up the method.
