And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you.
Romans 8:11 (amplified)
This is one of my favorite scriptures, but it took me some time in my walk with Christ to fully comprehend what it really means for the Believer. Last week we set aside time to intentionally focus on Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection but I have personally made the mistake of isolating the power of the resurrection to Holy Week. The same power that resurrected Jesus from the grave is at work in us as Believers right now!
What does this mean? It means we have to live like we believe this truth. After all it is the reason why Jesus gave His life. When we choose to believe and act according to our faith in His Word, we can help bring others to know about the power of Christ as He commissioned us to do (Mark 16:15) through our daily walk.
The truth is, we need the resurrection power of Christ in our everyday lives. It is what we need to be who we were created to be. So as we reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice this week, let’s release any of the doubt and unbelief that we may be harboring as a result of life’s challenges. Jesus still lives and He can breathe life into every area of our lives. He wants to empower us daily. I challenge you to reach up and as an act of faith and receive this Resurrection Power in Jesus name!
