Put This On Daily
“Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to (successfully) resist and stand your ground in the evil day (of danger) and having done everything (that the crisis demands) to stand firm (in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious)”-

Since we are talking about Beauty, let’s talk about attire, spiritual attire that is. When the Enemy Strikes is a book by Dr. Charles Stanley that my mother gave me years ago to read. In this book Dr. Stanley talks about the importance of putting on the Whole Armor of God intentionally on a daily basis. It is the staple item that we need in order for us to Stand.
The amplified Bible outlines the Armor of God as follows:
Belt of Truth (personal integrity, moral courage)
Breastplate of Righteousness (upright heart)
Shoes of Peace (to face the enemy with firm-footed stability and the readiness produced by the good news)
Shield of Faith (protective)
*Helmet of Salvation (mind, eyes, ears, and mouth)
* Sword of the Spirit (word of God)
*Have you ever noticed how these two pieces of armor are listed together? It is likely a reminder for us to stay in the Word of God so that we can have peace in our minds, see ourselves the way that God sees us, train our ears to hear His voice, and our mouths to speak life.
We are fighting an invisible enemy (Ephesians v.12) but the havoc that our enemy is wreaking can be seen and it can be felt to the extent that it can weigh us down mentally, physically, and spiritually. God has given us everything we need in order to be prepared,
I have attached the prayer pertaining to the Armor of God by Dr. Stanley below and I would highly encourage you to read it. Prior to reading the prayer, please read Ephesians 6: 11-17.
