For we are God’s workmanship. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
Ephesians 2:10
When we chose Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, we were made new. This newness is an inner work that shows up on the outside.
The inner work is character building that can only be performed by Christ. He knows every single part of us and He knows exactly what we need to help us become who he created us to be. Sometimes we want to skip this part but the truth is, it will be an ongoing work until the day that Jesus Christ returns! The scripture says that we ARE his workmanship. He’s not finished with us.
Be encouraged and know that He already knows and is fully aware of the things that we don’t want anyone to see. Many of us want to disqualify ourselves from doing “good works” because we assume that we have to reach a state of perfection first.
Reject this false narrative in Jesus’ name and embrace His plan right where you are. He’s already predestined you to do great things for His glory. As we enter into a new year let’s pray that we will remain available to the continued work of Christ so that He can work through us to do good works for His glory.
