“But thanks be to God, who gives us victory (as conquerors) through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1 Corinthians 15:57
We have the victory
This is true because Christ has already given it to us. This doesn’t negate the fact that bad things do happen, we will experience challenges, and we will question whether or not we can endure. Jesus even told His disciples this truth in John 16:33b,
“In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous ( be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy); I have overcome the world.
So when life throws unexpected obstacles, we need to work on shifting our focus on what we know to be true. So this week we need to align our thoughts, our words, and our actions with the Word of God. If you find yourself in a faith struggle, say to yourself or even out loud:
“I have victory over (Insert issue, challenge, concern, etc.) in Jesus Name!”
Follow this up with thanksgiving. God will respond by sending his Holy Spirit to comfort, lead, and guide you. The challenge may even persist but we can adopt a Victorious Mindset based on the promises of God.
